Marriage equality and gender autonomy

by Lena Nyhus

I am proud and moved that James Loewen has chosen to use the ‘Just a Snip’ illustration by Svend Eide Joensen of a cross tattooed to a child’s forehead to illustrate this remarkable example of intactivism. Karen Kelly Glennon demonstrates how knowledgeable respectful communication about genital mutilation can move a person, who is initially very convinced of his stand on the issue. See the video below and take the chance to check out some of the other great videos James has posted on the channel. It’s highly informative.

Oppose religious branding. Say no to genital mutilation aka circumcision. Design by Svend Eide Joensen

When we first posted Svend’s meme to our Facebook page we were completely blown away by it’s success, it was shared and commented on by an enormous amount of people. I wrote the piece 100.000+ heads turned for intactivism in 12 hours about the experience.
